We met at Bob Evans at 09:30 and kick stands up at 09:45; those that went on this ride was; Ellen, Jeanne, Lynn, Linda, Betty, and Jo followed by car. Betty was our 4 wheel tail gunner for the day. We pulled out of Bob Evans onto Gideon Dr towards Dale Blvd, and then we turned Left onto Dale Blvd towards route 1, once on route 1 we headed on to Fredericksburg. Traffic was heavy on route 1, due to a really nice day, and everyone was out enjoying the day with there families. Once we got to Fredericksburg we turned onto route 3 and stopped at the Sheetz for a quick break. I for one, needed to run toward the ladies room, along with a few others!!!

This ride is the start of the DITR riding season. What a better ride than to go and get Asparagus, Strawberries and Sugar Peas; yum!!! There weren’t a lot of people at the Berry farm, people come and get what they want and off they go, we sat close to the goats and Betty got some really nice pictures of them climbing up and down on the high and narrow wooden bridge, they are so sure footed!!!

Then we moved to the cover patio, there was a nice breeze blowing over the patio, and a few of us went and got a sandwich for lunch. After lunch we all got our goodies and headed towards home again. Betty showed me a way back that we didn’t have to cross the Fredericksburg Bridge, on a bad day, you could wait up to 15 minutes or longer waiting to cross the bridge. Thank you so much Betty, it was a much needed route for DITR rides going South ward.

Betty, Jo, and I stopped at JoJo in Dumfries for ICE CREAM, can’t end a ride without Ice Cream. After we ate our goodies we hug and said our goodbyes. It was a wonderful first ride of the season!!! As always ladies, thank you for other wonderful day on the rode. DITR’s Journey continues!!!
